Recently established start up, Marketinvoice, came top of nine companies pitching to a panel of judges and an audience at Bootlaw towers last week. After the judges’ votes resulted in a tie, the audience vote gave Marketinvoice the edge over Minutebox, a service that allows experts to sell their time online, which has recently gone live. Marketinvoice impressed the judges and the audience with a confident presentation of its disruptive business which aims to make discount invoicing more accessible to SMEs.

Plancentric, who we met on the Digital Mission to New York last November, was placed third after demoing its resource planning software. Also impressing the judges was Intern Avenue, which helps students and graduates find paid internships, and FindaBabysitter.com – a more established company (that does exactly what it says on the tin) which is now going for rapid expansion.

This was the second Techpitch4.5 event and the first to be in partnership with Bootlaw and hosted at our new base, 30 Crown Place.
